Output Partners with De-Fi to Revamp its Iconic Studio Desk
Back by popular demand, Output’s Platform studio desk is built for today’s music creators
Los Angeles, CA – July 18, 2024 – Output, a global leader in music creation tools, today releases a sleek, modern redesign of its iconic Platform studio desk built for the modern musician, sold exclusively through De-Fi, a leading maker and distributor of studio furniture. Best known for its for-musicians-by-musicians creator software – including Arcade, Rev, Portal, and newest-to-market Co-Producer – Output unveiled its first Platform studio desk in June 2017. Now, after input from hundreds of customers, the redesigned Platform makes the best even better.
“Our goal at Output is to make music-makers as creative as possible, and that all starts with a comfortable, efficiently-designed, beautiful space to unlock creativity,” said Gregg Lehrman, Founder and CEO of Output. “This new design takes Platform to the next level while keeping true to the elements that made musicians fall in love with the desk in the first place.”
Platform has the same iconic design music-makers know and love – built with ergonomics in mind and a clean, modern feel. Improvements over the original design include:
- A wider keyboard tray: The updated keyboard tray comes standard, allowing better integration, and is 2.75” (7cm) wider – wide enough to accommodate the S88.
- Adjustable display height: The center shelf now has three positions, allowing a lower display height at the 1U and 2U position (the full 3Us is available at the top).
- Improved cable management: The new cable deck is larger and is tucked in between the legs, creating a lower hidden desk tier that can be accessed from the front of the desk.
Platform and the other Output Studio Collection gear have become the studio standard centerpieces for production teams for artists ranging from Beyonce, Katy Perry, Mariah Carey and Rihanna to the teams behind the soundtracks for Stranger Things and Rick & Morty. They have been used to showcase multiple Apple product launches as well as other major audio industry product releases.
Sourced from the highest-quality materials, Platform is constructed of 100% birch wood, and available in Natural, Kodiak Brown and Driftwood Grey.
The new studio desk is now available to purchase starting at $999.00 through De-Fi. Musicians can further elevate their studio space with other pieces in Output’s studio gear line: Sidecar, a stylish, versatile gear rack; Frontier, high-quality studio monitors; speaker stands and acoustic panels.
